秋天，總有一些細小的風景，會在不經意間觸動我們。
一場秋雨，一片銀杏葉，一棵靜靜站在異鄉的小樹，都可能讓人想起遙遠的故鄉。
寫《雨中的小銀杏樹》時，我想到的不只是一棵樹。它從故土來到異鄉，在陌生的土地上扎根、生長，經歷春夏秋冬。它的葉脈裡，彷彿依然流淌著來處的記憶；而遠方的故土，也彷彿一直牽掛著漂泊在外的它。
人又何嘗不是如此。
走得再遠，歲月再久，有些記憶仍藏在心底。一場雨、一陣風、一片熟悉的葉子，都可能在某個瞬間，讓故鄉重新變得清晰。
願每一個遠行的人，都能在自己的異鄉找到一片可以扎根的土地；也願心中的故鄉，無論相隔多遠，都不再遙遠。

Autumn has a way of touching us through the smallest things.
A gentle rain, a fallen ginkgo leaf, a little tree standing quietly in a foreign land—any of these can suddenly bring back memories of home.
When I wrote The Little Ginkgo Tree in the Rain, I was thinking of more than a tree. Far from the land of its ancestors, it takes root in unfamiliar soil and grows through the changing seasons. In the veins of its leaves, it seems to carry memories of where it came from, while somewhere far away, its homeland seems to remember it too.
Perhaps we are not so different.
No matter how far we travel or how many years pass, some memories remain quietly within us. A shower of rain, a passing breeze, or a familiar leaf can suddenly make a distant homeland feel close again.
May every wanderer find a place to put down roots in a foreign land. And may the home we carry in our hearts, however far away, never feel too distant.
